Does anyone know what mirin and sake is? I've got a recipe for Teriyaki chicken with those ingredients in it.

I think sake is alcohol
sake is rice wine, and mirin is sweeter, less alchoholic rice wine.


You can get them at pretty much any liquor store, or you can substitute sherry, although it will taste a little different.
