Does anyone have a quick recipe for making batter for frying chicken?

Yes.

Dip the patted dry chicken pieces in a beaten egg.

Mix flour with salt and freshly ground pepper. Put the flour mix in a plastic bag and add the chicken pieces, toss until coated. You can add other spices like basil or paprika to the flour mix for a change of pace.

Make sure your frying oil is very hot or the oil will soak through the coating.

You do not need a wet batter just wash chicken parts and season roll chicken in some flour and fry, remember when chicken is done to sprinkle with salt to taste after removing from the oil.
the same amount of all purpose flour and beer. salt and pepper to taste. A tip is to boil the chicken in milk first and then dip it in flour, then in the batter and fry it.
the best way to get a crispy coating when frying chicken is mix 3 cups flour with 2 tablespoons seasoning salt and 1 tablespoon pepper in a big zip lock baggy.

In a large bowl mix 3 cups hot water with 3 tablespoons chicken bouillon flavor.

Coat chicken with flour mixture put in water mixture then coat in flour again{for extra crispy dip 3 times.} fry in 1 inch very hot oil for least 14 minutes or until golden brown, turn often. But be very careful may pop hot oil.

If you deep fry cook for 5 minutes
I either use some flour and put garlic salt, paprika, salt %26amp; pepper in it - dip the chicken in flour, then milk, then flour or I use seasoned bread crumbs and eggs.
